Meetings

Regular membership meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30 pm in the Ventura County Animal Shelter, 600 Aviation Drive, located in the Camarillo Airport Complex. The Annual Meeting and election of officers and directors are held in September. Dinner meetings in April, August, and December are held in restaurants, and a June barbecue is held in a local park.

20% of the regular and active life members who reside in Ventura County constitutes a quorum for regular membership meetings.

Board of Directors' meetings are held at 7:30 pm, following the Show Committee meetings at 6:30 pm, in the Animal Shelter on the first Wednesday of February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Membership dues are $10.00 per person, payable on or before January 1st of each year. Membership is lapse and automatically terminated if dues remain unpaid by March 1st of that year.

New members are elected by 3/4 affirmative vote of the members present at a regular membership meeting. A prospective member who is not a resident of Ventura County may be elected to membership only when at least 80% of the total membership still would be Ventura County residents.
